Example Daily Routine
Morning session:
- Staff arrive and set up.
- Children arrive and are welcomed.
- Children's Choice (a wide range of activities is provided, linked with specific EYFS goals/aims, with adult supervision, to promote children's learning).
- Snack/Circle time (a time when all children socialise with each other and use a lot of language skills, linked with specific EYFS goals/aims,).
- Out-door play (this is very important for the children's development and environmental awareness, linked with specific EYFS goals/aims).
- Quiet time (Story time,).
- Staff tidy up and set up for next session.
- Lunch
"Creative Time"
Afternoon session:
- Children arrive and are welcomed.
- Children's Choice (a wide range of activities provided linked with specific EYFS guidelines, with adult supervision, to promote children's learning).
- Snack/Circle time (a time when all children socialise with each other and use a lot of language skills, linked with specific EYFS aims).
- Out-door play (this is very important for the children's development and environmental awareness, linked with EYFS aims).
- Quiet time (Story time).
- Staff tidy up, end of session.
- Children leave (goodbye).
This routine is flexible according to the individual and planning (EYFS) needs. It allows the children to develop a routine which will remain throughout their life at Bumble Bee Children’s Day Nursery.
These statements will be reviewed and monitored on a regular basis.
